This is a still-packaged jewel CD case of Meteora, the second album released by the band Linkin Park. It was released on March 25, 2003.
The album cover was designed by Frank Maddocks. The dimensions of its front-facing side are 4.75" x 4.75". It features a sepia photograph depicting a man wearing a gas mask using a can of spray paint. The man in the photo is multimedia artist Boris “Delta” Tellegen, and the photograph itself was taken by James R. Minchin III. It was taken in Los Angeles while the band was taking a break during the making of the album.
This design, with its sepia filter and depiction of a lone figure using spray paint, conveys an air of rebelliousness and isolation, which is fitting for Linkin Park's style as a whole and is very representative of those kinds of aesthetics that were present in the early 2000's.
On the outside of the packaging is a label advertising it as the “Enhanced CD”. It utilizes imagery taken from the music video for their song “Breaking the Habit”, which was done entirely in 2D animation that was produced by the studio Gonzo. The animation supervisor was Kazuto Nakazawa, who is also known for directing the similarly-styled animated sequence in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume 1 (also released in 2003).
